Brief Summary:
A man who says that he gets really drunk every weekend to his mates gets invited to a party and it is then discovered that this isn't actually true. He has one can of beer and gets into a total mess. Embarassing himself in front of everyone shows that this statement about him being drunk every weekend obviously isn't true.We could instead show the opening titles with images that turn to clips of Fogul and friends doing stuff(these could be funny making Fogul look like an idiot.)We could have a narration over this comenting on how stupid he is
Main Piece:
Jack: Fogul
Harry: Leeroy
Robin: Cameraman
Llyod: Extra
Opening titles start with music
(peter andre mysterious girl)
we have still images running into clips of fogul walking down the street dancing and acting cool
Fogul is walking down the street on the way to meeting his friends.
Fogul: Gangsters wass'up guys?!?!?!?!?
Leeroy: Yeh wass'up gangsters! What's crackalackin?
Extra: Hey Fogul I heard you were drunk at the weekend?!
Fogul: When am I not drunk? (Leeroy chuckles)
Extra: Oh I see, you're a party animal are ya Fogul?
Leeroy: Too right he is gangsters! We need a party for the weekend! Oioioioioioi!
Extra: Ok then, there is a party at Emma's Saturday night, come along and show us how much of a party animal you are!
Fogul: Ok then we'll be there or be square! Peace out homies!
(short snapy dialogue)
at the end we will have images of fogul beibng stupid,he could be on the computer doing crazy stuff, like editing pictures on photoshop, fogul could aklso be looking at pics on internet.

Questionaire results
These are our questionnaire results, we will use this results to help us produce our film opening as this questionnaire tells us what our target audience 'teens' would want to see. These results are very valuable pieces of data to us.
Question 1 Analysis:
Question One was an important question to ask as it points us in the right direction. By knowing what genre our target audience tends to like is extremely helpful.
This question also helps as we wanted to do a comedy film and we originally thought that this would be a popular genre amongst teens. This result also helps our deconstructions as we have deconstructed a couple of comedy films and this has made us aware of the vast variety of comedy and that this genre leaves us with plenty of options to consider.
Question 2: This set of results helps us to focus in on a certain type of comedy. This also helps us to develop our idea and script as it gives us a basis to operate. These results also help us to choose our locations and cast (as if we were doing stand up it would have to be inside with one person and an audience.)
Question 3:
These results our massively helpful as we have included our ideas from our brainstorming session. This question also helps us to narrow down to which of our ideas we should do. Our deconstructions have massively helped us here as they narrow down which of our ideas would be suitable. This question is very important as the answers will be a big part of which idea we end up choosing.
Question 4:
This set of results help us to decide how we will put together our opening and how much special effects and costumes etc we will include. Our deconstructions have taught us that most film openings in the comedy genre are usually kept quite simple. This answer is important as we cannot make the script without knowing if we need special effects and how much of them we need.
Question 5: This is also very important as we HAVE to include film credits on our film opening somewhere and the results of this question give us a basic idea of where to include them and how to include them. Our deconstructions will also influence how we include credits as we will use them as examples to follow.

We have completed the deconstructions and they have massively influenced how we are going to produce our film opening .After watching exissting footage we now have a good idea of what a film opening should be like, whether it should contain text and how much detail about the film it should include etc.

Target Audience
We looked briefly into which target groups would be best at the start, and decide that it would be easiest if we used teens as this means that we alreaady have many people around the college that we can use to give us feedback and opinions on many of the peices.
Our target audience is to be aimed at people that are the same age as us. These people we are aiming our piece at are aged from 16-21 years old.
The genre of audience we are aiming for is the people that enjoy a good comedy film. If we aimed the piece at people who like horror then they wouldn't really like the film or appreciate our comedy. We also realised that most people in our age group like most comedy.
We also thought that i we choose teens this means that we ar e part of the target audience which we felt was a great advantage

looking for eric
Deconstruction:Looking for Eric
The film starts out with a balck screen and the opening credits start to roll. The we see an older man driving a car down the motorway,he seems to be slightly anxious and he looks like he is racing, this exites the audience a they heavily anticipate what could happen next.
The screen then goes black and displays peices of text explaining'it all happened with one pass, then eric cantona'this is a nice little introductory touch that appeals to the audience as it is explaing how this stroy happened in one short sharp line.
We then hear a few short lines of dialogue betweeen the older man and his wife
He is lying in bed,and we then watch him get up and get the impression that he is lazy and posibley depressed.
We then see him have dialogue witha boy that appears tyo be his son who doesnt seem to be intrested in chatting at this point.
He then enters a room which is heavily decorated in mancester united stuff,he then sits alone talking to a eric cantona poster we see this as wierd, the audience see him as maybe lonely. We also get the impression that maube thi is his hero or somebody that he aspires to be,we found that this seemed like a good way of seeting up the storyline

Jacks Gran Torino Deconstruction
The film opens up with the opening titles which are in bold white on a black background. This automatically makes the audience think that the film could be about a bold statement. Warner bro's are the production company and when the audience see this they automatically notice its a well known production company which makes them want to see more.
The opening scene consists of a church, then inside the church there is a man playing a piano, we see there are people in the church for a service. The audience dosn't know how to feel yet as they do not know what the service is for. We then see a picture of a woman on top of a coffin. The audience then knows that it is a funeral service. We then see a man stood at the front of the church. We presume that he is the husband of the wife that has passed away. This makes the audience feel sympathy for the husband.
People are then entering the church and curtseying at the front in front of the coffin. As people sit down, the husband still stays stood at the front of the church. This shows the audience that people had respect for the woman that had passed away apart from one of the kids.
There is then a small dialogue between two men sat down, the audience think that they are his sons as they mention the word 'dad' during dialogue. After this peice of dialogue the service is about to begin as the man on the organs stops and the priest enters and stands at the front. The audience then know the service is going to begin as everyone becomes silent when the priest enters. The priest has a small bit of dialogue to say from the bible to the people at the service. But while he is doing this, one of the kids is busy on their phone paying no respect at all to the service. This puts her in a bad light to the audience for the film. During the service the husband of the wife is sat on an aisle with people but with a large gap between them. Showing the audience that he wants to be on his own to think and reflect her life.
The scene then switches from the church to a house. We all presume that the house belongs to the widow. It the shows inside where there is a small congregation of friends and family. This shows the audience that they are there to support him through a tough time you would think but really his son and his wife are after his house......

Harrys Role Models Deconstruction
This film starts off with the character Danny waiting and then his friend Wheeler turns up to meet him. The character Danny is waiting in a smart suit so the audience will automatically think that he is going somewhere to do a job or to do something important. This changes when Wheeler turns up from a car with more casual clothing on, suggesting they are going to do something less important or he has a more casual outlook to his job.
They then type in a combination to open some sort of garage. The camera only shows a hand typing in this combination. This is effective as the audience do not know who is doing this and makes it more exciting to find out who is doing it. Immediately after this they use an over the shoulder shot. This is effective at this point because it slowly reveals what is going to be behind the garage door and the angle used at this point makes this more effective. At the bottom of the picture in this exact scene it shows the character Wheeler in a costume, which automatically suggests to some people that he is some sort of mascot for a campaign.
When they first do a scene where they are both in the pimped out vehicle, they have drinks strewn across the car, which suggests to the audience that they would be trying to sell these as they wouldn't be drinking all of them as they were actually hundreds of them. Then when the car actually stops, a camera angle shows on the side of the 'pimped out' car, 'Energy Drink'. This confirms to the audience that they are trying to sell these drinks. There is then a quick angle which shows that they are outside the school. This tells the audience that they are probably going to try and sell or advertise these drinks to them.
After this when Danny and Wheeler are trying to advertise their product, there is an angle which shows all of the children they are presenting to and they all look bored and very disinterested. This shows that they are not really bothered about what they are saying as they all look tired or are leaning on their fists. The scene after this shows the two characters walking down the corridor and three kids hanging around. The kids make a snide comment to them both but then Danny and Wheeler reply with another snide comment which puts the kids back in their place. This makes the audience laugh and adds the comic element to the film. In the next scene, they go to another school promoting their drink. Throughout all of the schools that they go to, the students all look disinterested, which shows that both of them are just entering schools promoting a drink which they probably would not buy.
There is then a scene where Wheeler offers Danny a cigarette after it looks like they have taken a break on the side of the road. This shows how bad their jobs are and that although Wheeler is not really that bothered about doing this job, Danny looks quite forlorn.
There is then a scene where they are talking in the truck while Danny is driving discussing about what music he is putting on and how they 'party all night and rock 'n' roll' every day. This entertains and makes the audience laugh at their disagreements about how he parties every day from about 1-3 pm! There is then another scene where they are talking to students and teachers in a school. This indicates to the audience that they do this all day and that their job is very low standard.
There is then a scene where they go into the toilets after drinking too many of the 'Minotaur' drinks that they are advertising at the schools. When they urinate it shows that it is green, which tells the audience that the drink has side-effects to it and is probably not very safe to drink, which also adds that comic element and makes the audience laugh.
It then shows them going back to where they were at the very start and they move into an office where the audience assumes there are other 'Minotaur' workers. The audience can tell from their conversation that Wheeler enjoys his job and that Danny definitely doesn't as they are trying to think of reasons why and why not they are doing good for the world.
Then when they turn a corner, it is revealed that there has been a surprise party set up for Danny. The surprise look on Danny's face shows how surprised he is and this is the reaction that the audience will get as there were no clues to this actually happening.
It then shows Wheeler celebrating the occasion but Danny doesn't look very excited at reaching the ten year milestone and it becomes obvious to the audience that he doesn't like his job. He then goes in the corner and starts to sulk which shows further that he doesn't want to be part of the party and wants to go further in his career.
The music throughout up to where they enter the office is quite upbeat and pacy music, which shows that there is an upbeat relationship between the characters and that allows the comic elements in the film. Also the titles roll throughout the opening. This allows the audience to see the introduction so that they start to understand what the film is all about and allows all of the people who got involved in the film to be published on the screen and be recognised for their work.

Robins Hangover deconstruction
Deconstruction: The opening scene begins with a florist taking flowers from there van into a wedding. This shows the audience that the film is set around a wedding(or is it)this slightly confuses the audience as they anticipate it to be about drinking.Whilst the florist is moving the flowers a romantic song is playing, this again can confuse the audience as it makes them think that maybe the film is more of a romcom than an outright comedy. The camera then follows the florist into the wedding area where the audience sees lots of wedding dresses hung up,They then hear a phone dialling a number, the audience automatically expects someone to be answering the phone, but it then goes straight to voicemail. They then hear another phone dialing(which also goes to voicemail),Hear is where the audience are introduced to one of the main characters(Stuart). Then they hear another number being diaied that goes straight to voicemail,at this point the audience notices that obviously someone is desperately trying to get in contact with a group of people,(this adds suspence as the audience wants to know who these people are and why why they cannot be contacted. The audience then hears a bit of dialogue from the bridge and guests. They are discussing the whereabouts of the groom and friends.During this dialogue we find out that the groom and friends are in Vegas(this shows the audience that they have probably been on a stag night, and also explains why they cannot be contacted. The bride then rings a phone number, and this time gets an answer?(this excites the audience as contact between the bride and grooms friends have been established). There is then a few seconds of dialogue between the bride and the grooms friend phil, phil is telling the bride how things at the stag party got out of control, this makes the audience intrigued as to what happened the night before. Phil then tells us that last night they lost groom(doug),this adds an intresting twist to the storyline so far,and again exites the audience as to what can happen next. After phil dropping the bombshell, music starts to play and the opening titles start to play over pictures of desertland, they then switch to the city(Vegas) showing where the groom and friends will be for their stag night and the majority of the film(this sets the scene of where their going to be) it shows the audience the surrounding city aswell so they get a feel of what it is like. Background music is played while Vegas is shown, it is like the type of music is blending the desertland scene into the Vegas scene. This sun is rising in vegas to show that it is the morning after their stag night. The music used with the opening titles is calming which lets the audience relax knowing that nothing is going to happen its just setting the scene.

Our Original Idea
We have decided to locate our task at Manor and school. We will do a comedy piece that is about 3 people who reminisce about their drunken exploits the previous night. This our original idea that we came up with from our brainstorm session, this idea could change after we collect our questionnaire results and complete our deconstructions of existing film openings. This is our INITIAL idea and subject to change as we might become influenced by investigating target audiences and current media.
